Eikon 3 is a Trading and Investment portal from Thomson Reuters, I worked in the Finance and Risk design team which grew from 8 to an entire floor during my two and a bit years working there.
I had a lot of different rolls whilst working at TR, I given the opportunity to lead the motion elements of the team and also partnered with one other to build an entire user testing lab. During the time when I wasn’t working with the lab or motion I was part of the visual design team, working closely with the UX team to build design systems and high fidelity components.
User testing was conducted using Tobii eye tracking as well as BlackMagic cameras which aided the team with a complete view of how users interacted with our product, the nature of the finance business meant timing and screen real estate was paramount.
Using motion was another important element used within our team as our competitor had a huge stake in the market, so having my motion graphics shown in Time Square in New York and having a full take over of King’s Cross Station in London were huge highlights for my time at Thomson Reuters.
